Practical and Useful–The Water Battery

Japan is always coming out with cool and useful gadgets to improve our lives. Of course, it’s all part of their efficient culture. One of the latest and greatest things that has come out of Japan is NoPoPo, a water powered battery. Developed by Nakabayashi Co., Ltd., “NoPoPo” is short for “no pollution power” and is completely powered by regular water! With a shelf life of 20 years, it is a rechargeable battery that is capable of producing up to 1.5 volts of electricity. It looks like a regular battery but with one exception: it has a small hole in the bottom. This is where you insert the eye dropper with water and it fills the battery. Did you lose the eye dropper? Just drop the batter in a cup of water for three to five minutes. The battery will not short out because it uses water to make electricity. Once it’s filled, take it out of the water, dry it off and pop it into your electronic device. The battery is completely eco-friendly and can be discarded with no serious environment concerns. Currently it’s only available in AA size. If you want to know more about this product, visit their website here.
